SARA MACKILLOP

SARA MACKILLOP

at Florence Loewy by artists, Paris
Pop-Up, Non Pop-Up

Opening: Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 5pm to 9pm

Sara MacKillop graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2001 and lives and works in London. She produces ‘poor art’, which reappropriates the norms of minimalism with subtle humour.
Her works, whether it be her sculptures or artist’s books, are based on the appropriation of items from our materialistic culture, such as found items of stationery, office supplies, record sleeves, and catalogues. For the Florence Loewy Gallery, Sara MacKillop has produced a new series of sculptural works, the Pop-Ups, made from scanned pages from mail-order catalogues.
